I don't even have an issue with $15 minimum wage, I have an issue with it being a federal requirement

$15 is absolutely necessary in a place like San Fran, NYC, LA, but in Lincoln, Nebraska? Boise,Idaho? Louisville, KY? etc, Hell no

15 an hour is ridiculous IMO. At least federally. I live in the greater Cincy area, technically NKY. These motherfukkers working fast food and regular retail jobs do not need 15 an hour to survive. All it would do at my job is get rid of a fukk ton of our younger employees/ college students and out more work on our plates. Federally, that's dumb

In retail a $15 wage is usually a leadership type position. When I was in college I had a managerial position making about that and was barely scraping by in fukking Louisiana. I had colleagues making the same with 2-3 kids in their 30s-40s. My problem with the Dems supporting this is that they want their cake and eat it too. You can't support these corporate trade deals where they can ship jobs at will and then tell them to raise wages in the same breath.

But I'm guessing the more conservative fear of this is that small business won't be able to cover this and will close down in more poorer areas. But that's a boogyman that doesn't have merit to me. And I guess to another point people see these jobs as transitional work for young people but that's really not the case.
