They sent out a mass email today. They claim it wont affect anything on either site but there were more freerolls after the announced merger than before. I hope that doesn't change.
:mjcry:I am not very good at daily fantasy but its always good to have that hope that maybe I will get lucky that day like any other form of gambling/gaming I enter.

Dear

As you may already know, DraftKings entered into a merger agreement with FanDuel last November. We learned today that the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) will attempt to block our merger.

We are disappointed by this approach and continue to believe that a merger is in the best interests of our players and the fantasy sports industry. The FTC's position on our merger is far from being the final word and we are considering all our options, including litigation.

This means that, for now, DraftKings and FanDuel will remain separate companies. We want to reassure you that you will not notice any changes to your account or to your experience with us for the foreseeable future. We will continue to offer best-in-class contests, prizes and offerings to our players. We will still focus on enhancing our products and features so we can continue delivering the exceptional sports entertainment experience you have always had with DraftKings.

This is an exciting time to be a sports fan and daily fantasy player. As we gear up for another successful NFL season, we will continue to put you - the sports fan - at the center of everything we do. We are excited to make this football season the best one yet with new products, innovative features and exciting contests ready to be rolled out.

Thank you for your loyalty throughout this process. We would not be where we are today without you.

Best,

Dear

Today we formally terminated our merger with FanDuel and will withdraw litigation from the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). This means we will move forward as a separate company, which we believe is the best course in the interest of you - our customers and avid sports fans.

We want to reassure you that you will not notice any changes to your account or your experience with us as a result of this decision. We will continue to offer best-in-class contests, prizes, and offerings to our players. We will continue to focus our resources and expertise on enhancing our products and features so we can deliver the exceptional sports entertainment experience you have always had and love with DraftKings.

DraftKings remains the preeminent platform in the daily fantasy sports industry. As a result, we are well-positioned to serve as a global hub linking fans to the sports, teams, players and game content they love.

This is an exciting time to be a sports fan and daily fantasy player. As we gear up for another successful NFL season, we will continue to put you - the sports fan - at the center of everything we do. We are excited to make this football season the best one yet with new products, innovative features, and exciting contests ready to be rolled out soon.

Dear FanDuel User,

We have some news to share with you. As you know, we announced last November our intent to merge with DraftKings. We decided to merge because we believed that this deal would have increased investment in growth and product development thereby benefiting consumers and the greater sports entertainment industry.

While our opinion has not changed, we have determined that it is in the best interest of our shareholders, customers, employees, and partners to terminate the merger agreement and move forward as an independent company. There is still enormous, untapped market opportunity for FanDuel, and we will continue to execute our strategy to grow our business and further expand the fantasy sports industry.

As such, there will be no changes to your experience on FanDuel. We look forward to bringing you more fantasy formats, games and offerings in the near future, as we've done with Golf and WNBA in the last few months.

We'd like to thank you for your support and continued loyalty over the past several months.

- FanDuel

Today the United States Supreme Court overturned the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA). This decision legalizes sports betting - and it's great news for sports fans. DraftKings believes life is more fun when you have skin in the game, so we'd like to share what today's news means for you, our valued customers.

Since DraftKings was founded in 2012, our mission has been to bring fans closer to the games they love. Today's ruling will allow us to further drive fan engagement by harnessing our proven technology to provide you with an innovative online sports betting product.

DraftKings is uniquely positioned to succeed in this dynamic, new market. We are the world's largest daily fantasy sports platform with almost 10 million users. As an American company, we have a unique, authentic understanding of American sports fans, and already have strong relationships with professional leagues and teams.

So, when can you expect to place a wager through DraftKings? The timing will depend on when individual states move to pass the necessary legislation and set up the regulatory framework that will allow online sports betting. We're hopeful states will move quickly, but lawmakers need to hear directly from fans like you. You can take action right now by using our tool to contact your lawmakers.

Even with today's announcement, DraftKings remains fully committed to daily fantasy sports, which will continue to be a major focus for the company. In fact, sports betting and DFS already co-exist in many parts of the world. This powerful combination, combined with live streaming sports and original content, will position DraftKings - The Game Inside The Game - at the center of your fan experience. To celebrate with us, play tonight

As always, we'll keep you in the loop every step of the way, so be on the lookout for updates. For now, this is a huge win for sports fans everywhere and we're excited for another opportunity to bring our fans closer to the games they love.

Sincerely,

DraftKings
