We traded back to draft a WR when we could’ve stayed at 11 and did the same thing

I'm assuming they wanted Smith, so when that got fukked, they traded back, got another first for next year and picked someone else. I'm not upset

I don't have a strong opinion on Mac Jones one way or another as I haven't seen enough of him, but I don't see how people can say it's an "L" for the Patriots. He was mocked in the #3-7 range pretty consistently, and Belichick didn't panic and spend additional capital to get him.

People can say he could have moved up for Fields and it wouldn't have cost much, but I don't believe that. The Bears would have upped their offer.
