I just got back from seeing it, they had a 10 AM showing so I decided to go at that time and it was still a pretty large amount of people that showed up
You arent really missing much if youve already seen it in Japanese and watched the clips funimation put on youtube, but I liked the movie, its nothing crazy but its a great kickoff for a sequel or even a new saga so im expecting the next movie(s) to be even more epic. One thing I really wanted to see was the intro in English but I fukking missed it and got in the theater at the very beginning of the first scene
As far as the voices go, it was pretty good aside from Vegeta sounding SLIGHTLY different(same voice actor but still), Bulma has a totally different voice actor from the DBZ we grew up with, same one from Kai but its been that way for years now, still shytty though especially considering she has a lot of lines in the movie, and Shenron has always had the same voice actor as Piccolo/Vegeta/Yamcha etc but in this movie he sounded a little too much like Piccolo for me.. shoulda kept a filter on his voice like the show.
Otherwise can't complain
its the beginning of a great story, if u expected some shytty dark movie like Bio Broly which Akira Toriyama didnt even make(he didnt make any of those movies) then youre gonna be assed out for as long as Akira Toriyama decides to make new DBZ stuff, comedy has always been his thing and has always been a huge part of DBZ.
That shyt was hilarious when Gohan got drunk and wanted nikkas to shoot at him. Blocked the bullets and ricocheted them onto his wife
