I dont think it will happen

People that play these type of games just want a simple game and have fun. They dont want real fighters

Look at Jojo Bizzare Adventure All Star Battle. Decent game but nobody talks about it. Dropped in 2013 but didn't even know it existed until last year

Budokai 3 still has a small tournament scene. Not to mention this is arc sys works. Only thing they do is make competitive games
