the dub version of DBZ tried to make goku like superman (fighting for loved one's protecting the planet etc...) the reality is goku just wants to fight strong people and if he saves the planet in the process so be it

i'm not sure what the reality is becayse AT himself is wishy washy about the whole subject. one moment goku is a defender of good, the next he is a sociopath who's obsessed with fighting. his behavior changes depending on the story.
i mean goku will usually spare his enemies, but i think it's more due to his pure heart... not his desire to fight them again.

1. How the hell is Kefla stuggling against Gohan when she gave SSB Goku that work in the anime.
2. Why in the world is Vegeta getting beat up by Toppo that's not even in his God of Destruction state.

1. How the hell is Kefla stuggling against Gohan when she gave SSB Goku that work in the anime.
Best question. Only answer is that Piccolo beat the hell out of Gohan multiple times and gave him senzu beans. Therefore, there's a chance that Gohan went through multiple zenkais during his training. Also, Piccolo and Gohan may have went to Kami's lookout to train.
2. Why in the world is Vegeta getting beat up by Toppo that's not even in his God of Destruction state.
In the manga, Goku went SSB and Toppo won. So it shouldn't be a surprise that Vegeta is struggling.
3. How is Master Roshi stronger than a pride trooper.
Master Roshi is a technique person. Plus he's not a slouch either. He stays training, like Goku. So he uses technique where power won't work. Plus, the manga made it a point to point out that the Pride Troopers Roshi was facing were pretty weak. Also remember that, raising your power level instantly and bringing it back down again is an established technique in DBZ.
