I don't even think letting Vegeta swoop in and save KKKakarot from his own stupidity can save this writing; just having Goku even consider that, let alone go through with it AGAIN, to another genocidal villain, and after Meerus sacrifice is... 
Any "emotional impact" or consequence of what was supposed to be the most pivotal moment of the arc just thrown out the window not even 2 chapters later Legit thought that shyt was some fan-made trolling when I first saw it; that's how fukking galactically stupid this shyt is now.
Only way you could dig your way out of this is by having Beerus Hakai this fukking clown straight up; there HAS to be some kind of consequence/blowback/reprucssion to Goku's stupidity. When Vegeta let Cell power up to his perfect form like a cocky a$$hole he got dusted and humiliated for his fukkup. Gotenks plays around with Buu thinking he's hot shyt and he got literally cratered. Mystic Gohan frontrunning to Super Buu "No, I wanna kill you"
and gets eaten for his showboating. 
Every time every character that isn't Goku fukks up, makes a mistake, or gets overconfident they are figuratively if not literally put in a body bag for it. It isn't entertaining or interesting to watch this super ape man from outer space slowly regress to being even stupider than an an actual primate, literally endanger all of existence in his endless stupidity, and suffer NO blowback, no fault, no consequence for his absolutely retarded actions over and over again like clockwork. It's straight up infuriating to watch and read when every other character in this series does something nowhere near as stupid or bad and gets humiliated if not literally murdered for it. While Goku slowly becomes a literal god with every new dumb fukk neanderthal decision he makes in life.
There HAS to be some kind of followup to Beerus threatening him before the Tourney of Power before he literally teleported away to escape that fade coming at the end of all this. They cannot be unironically writing this shyt to let him off scot free AGAIN like he isn't the stupidest fukking character in all of fiction and deserves the ass beating of all time. Come the fukk ON man...

Why get upset now? People mad a Torotoro for following the same blueprint Toriyama set. Let’s be real everything post Frieza saga has been illogical. With each power up and overpowered villain logic progressively flew out of the window. Krillian potentially dooming the world because he was horny for sex doll
The claims that the planet could be destroyed by them powering up, yet they go full power and nothing ever happens
Goku consistently sparing the main villain for reasons... This includes Majin Buu also because he claimed he could have taken him out when he went SSJ3 but wanted to put the fate of the galaxy in the hands of a 6 & 7yr old
Then there’s all the dumb stuff Vegeta and Gohan have done being arrogant which is equal to Goku’s stupidity.
Other than Piccolo and Vegeta post sacrificing himself DBZ has lacked character development something that DB actually did well. All the goofy powers led to lazy writing and basically every arc following the same chain of events
