Man I have a bad feeling about this series 
The opening chapter was kind of lame but that'll settle some of the "Goku is a bad father" debate. Dude is working the farms for his family, earning money while his heart yearns for training and adventure...

I think y'all gotta look at these movies as BACKBONES and GUIDES of how the actual series will go. I'm sure that the series will cover the BoG and the RoF storylines at some point. It just won't be in the same perspective, most likely. But BoG could honestly go the exact same way from this point on (which it probably won't, because that wouldn't be interesting). Goku is still going to King Kai's, and it's likely that he'll be there for a bit before Beerus goes to track him.
