I don't think there was a true intention of having Vegeta or Goku reach Beerus' level. But no, he can't take on Beerus atm. Unless whatever technique he's learning to take on Moro is something that can outmatch MUI then he isn't even on Goku's level. And I don't believe MUI is on Beerus' level as well.

Beerus I think is the strongest G.O.D of them all followed by the little rat. He fought all of them by himself in the manga. Just a gifted fighter.

Id actually go with kid trunks being a gen z kid, playful doesnt give a fukk about the rules tik tok generation, future is millenial, still young and swaggy just hitting his prime but hes always worried about shyt cuz the generation before him gave him no help.
