The prestige of it has gone downhill I feel like.
It's been plenty of worthy artists who have been shunned before but that Abel shunning was highly suspect.
The grammys are as important as the fans/viewers say they're important. I think the grammys will slowly become irrelevant if they keep shunning worthy artists...the voting needs some transparency most likely and new blood.
The ratings decreasing doesn’t change the prestige of the Grammy’s and what means in those type of circles even if the fans don’t see it. The Grammy’s isn’t a participation and everyone can’t be nominated regardless of how artist and fans feel about it. That more than anything will dilute the prestige of the Grammy’s.

Grammy are kinda of weird anyways. I didn't hate the Album but it's kinda shocking it got a Grammy nom. To be fair I haven't been listening to a lot this year and at the end of the day it's all subjective
