u live your life for money?

if so I can dig it

but respect where I'm from is important

who raised yall? where are y'all from with these views? u think being respected ain't important in something u gave your life to?
Being respected by who? a message board poster?

No respects meek because he didn't tweet that to save HipHop or shine a light on somethings he did because he was in his feelings?

No I'm a true fan of HipHop o just not naive enough to let something as common place as ghostwriting HipHop distort my view of the music

Jay is my favorite rapper and he had verses that sound just like Young Chris

Nas has verses that sound just like Jay elect

Ross has verses that sound just like Wale

None of that invalidated hoe I feel about them as an artist

I don't even believe in the whole idea of "legacy" that y'all parade around whether it's rap, sports or presidents

Having verses that sound like another rapper isn't the same as having reference tracks. You know how much I like Drake and how much I've defended him on here, but those aren't even in the same category.

I'm sorry . A rich ,Jewish Canadian ,pretending to be tough while rapping asking for a street nikka from Philly to be checked for a wire.

Yes Drake got classics, but at some point you gotta wonder....When does he get checked for this fraudulent display of being a street night?

I'm blaming this new generation for supporting fake fugazi rappers....Yall actually supporting MC Gusto over Easy-E....

The only difference is that we aren't privy to the tracks but if you had to bet your life on it it's no way you would say these rappers wrote 100% of their shyt

And having verses were you have the same flow, pronunciation, diction as another rapper is pretty telling

But I'm saying none of that shyt matters becaus im Here for the end product

You don't get points because you wrote your own shyt and it's wack music that I never would listen to.

We're not even gonna talk about how Drake interpolating "Six" into his project names and using now to refer to his neighborhood is a direct idea- steal from Gucci? :mjpls:

I swear to God sometimes I think Drake fans can't be listening to any other rapper. Else they'd smarten up. :heh:

dont forget Drake stole that 6 shyt from JLo as well

You're not a true fan of this hip hop shyt if you have to have it explained why ghostwriting is damaging to a rapper's legacy, you're just not. You're showing your ass as someone who is a bigger fan of Drake than you are of hip hop.

These nikkas are fans of these artists more than they are fans of the culture. It's evident in a lot of these fans of these newer generation of rappers.....these nikkas don't give a fukk about rap unless *insert rapper* is outchea winning. fukk nikkas.

I doubt drake will last long in the rap bizz. Not with his credibility being questioned.
