Budden is one of those rappers that Drake came up on. His style is influenced by Budden.

But yes, Budden is a has-been even in the podcast world. Drake and Akademiks are the only things keeping him semi-relevant. If they stopped giving him attention, he'll be back shooting a season of reality television for VH1 or WE TV.
lol at this stupid ass shyt. Joe Budden is one of the most entertaining podcasters in the world.

Drake was a budden Stan before he blew up, Drakes whole style is lifted from Joe, witty punchlines weaved into a mix of introspective/pity me bars on tracks about relationship drama and family life…with the odd “club” song thrown in (drake is clearly better than Joe with the latter)…Drake pretends it doesn’t but it clearly hurts his feelings whenever Joe criticises him

To go further than this tho, it goes both ways, in the sense that Joe is clearly bitter that drake became the biggest rapper in the world based of his whole style, same way Lupe is clearly bitter about Kendrick and goes out of his way to shyt on Kendrick whenever possible….Kendrick has been a top 5 biggest rapper for a decade now, and his whole style is “not street but grew up in the streets lyrical miracle rapper who releases concept albums with crossover appeal”…sounds like someone else right?

Joe & Lupe both watched two other rappers use their whole aura to become two of the biggest rappers of all time when they were barely scraping gold/platinum 15 years ago with the same exact content
I understand that but keeping an open line of communication with a nikka who clearly doesn’t like you isn’t weird to y’all :gucci:

I think his show is a snoozefest and drags on. I don't mind his fanbase like him though. I think Everyday Struggle was really well done.

But it's a fact, his show isn't culturally relevant. Budden was calling into Akademiks' stream like a crackhead trying to get his fix during that whole Drake, Kendrick and Ross diss saga. He wanted attention from Ak's audience because no side or party in that beef was fukking with Joe's platform or even acknowledging it.

Yeah... That's not true. They were calling each other. Joe called him when Family Matters/Meet The Grahams dropped. He called Joe when Heart 6 dropped.

There are many ways to disparage Joe. But his podcast is not one of those ways.

I don't mind Joe outside of his podcast shyt and his domestic abuse drama.

He's a solid rapper.
