I think a lot of them ARE Drake.
Either white, bi racial or upper middle class Blacks.
Grew up in a nice suburban areas
Moms used to make them sandwiches and cut off the crust.
Awkward and insecure around attractive women
Nerdy and un athletic
Grew up worshiping Black rappers and athletes from poor areas
I have a theory. A lot of them hate him because he’s evidence that they could have also been the biggest star in hip hop instead of a 35 year old gamer/WWE Stan/Coli poster working a day job.
They feel he cheated the system. He destroyed the illusion of what “hip hop” could be..He didn’t grow up with the typical hood story of overcoming struggle and anguish. He hasn’t been shot 9 times or had to do a bid. He knows his Dad and still has a great relationship with him.
He’s just a guy.. Just like them..
And do you think they like themselves?
Naw, breh.
The reason why folks don't like drake is hes on some bullshyt and acts like people are stupid.
One simple example about his bullshyt is the idea that he keeps selling about him struggling or didn't need help with getting put on.

like does he really believe that folks would buy that story. Dude was an actor on degrassi, a popular Canadian kids/young teen show. People already knew who he was so obviously, he wasn't some unknown trying to come up out of nothing. And to make it even worse, his entire come up where he magically gets big name a, b list rap stars on his earlier mixtapes before he got signed and he wasn't even popular like that.

no way any no name rapper can have that happen if they aren't signed already because the labels wouldn't give the clearance for that to happen. Then when his manufactured buzz shows up out of nowhere in 2009, there's this bidding war between labels wanting to sign mr. Fake as if he wasn't signed already.

he came in funny and lied about it so it was only a matter of time he was going to be exposed. Some people caught like myself caught on from the jump. A lot of folks are catching on to it now. It's people like him that actually fukk up the music business and music in general. Because you have these folks trying to buy their way to the top, lying about it and then these folks think they can do it too.
There was a poster that pretty much exposed people like drake before drake appeared back on hamster with the whole ghostwriter thing where artists a, b, c and d write for the fake artist that recites their shyt and gets to credit while artists a, b, c and d get bullied and blacklisted. So yeah, fukk Drake. He pretty much sums up what's going wrong with society in the last 10 years especially the social media era. All this lying, faking, stunting and etc. After awhile, it's toxic because it's not real.
And on some real shyt, anybody knows that you don't have to be poor, black, have a criminal record, have a rough life and from the ghetto to be real or to be a rapper. In fact, I think that and just being completely honest, you can tell who is doing this because they legitimately love the music or have talent vs the people who are just doing this shyt for a buck and fame regardless of their situation. It shows. That's why I don't care too much to hear most of these trap or drill rappers. Regardless if folks are trying to stay off the street. There's many ways but rapping and music isn't for everybody. If you suck, you suck.
