I agree, his moves usually seem to put him in a stronger position.

At the same time though, the ghostwriting accusations and his lack of a real response to it just shows that he gets passes others probably wouldn't get.

He recently addressed it. That thing about wanting to work like Kanye.

Personally I'm a fan of his music, think he writes some but not all of his music (as Funk Flex said as well). The only change is I don't see him as an elite MC like I see Kendrick. Like Kanye he can rap and has that Midas touch and knows how to produce enjoyable product consistently

I agree with your second paragraph for the most part. The ghostwriting stuff took him out of elite tier for definite. The thing is Drake's talent in rhyming allowed him so much cache, and with that talent coming into question his existence in hip hop should've come into question as well, but it never did and it seems like he didn't even feel insulted that someone would claim he doesn't write his rhymes.
