It depends, artists and people behind the scenes buy/trade each other chains and jewelry all the time, it's no different than buying and holding onto a painting to resell later. Especially if they have some legacy to it like Pharrell's nerd chain, Kanye and Biggies Jesus pieces, Hov's roc chain, etc.
The bigger named artist he's gotten chains for are custom, like 21 savage has his knife tattoo on the owl, that's a 1 of 1 and will be worth something later. Same with Vybz Kartel camouflage owl
It will still retain it's value to rich music memorabilia collectors. Most of these styles of purchases are to put the money into a physical asset instead of just sitting in a bank losing value while also not being fully insured.
Obviously they still buy stocks and shyt too, but this is just one of the other options
Pharrell's pieces were iconic and he did something different when Jacob made them. The OVO pendants don't have that uniqueness or lore behind them.
I like the owl as a logo on paper/shirts/etc but it looks wack as a chain.
It would look better flat. It doesn't look good 3 dimensional at that size. Doesn't look good with the chain it's on either. In the picture with Drake wearing it it looks terrible. Large pendants need a larger chain.
