Drake fans always turn this nikka into a victim.. Whoever he's battling always seems to find the line that's too far :dead:

Oh that tick tick shyt was too much

Oh I'd never put Pedo on a man's jacket, that's too much

And this nikka really said Kendrick wasn't rapping on NLU:dead: He's trying to downplay it because it's a hit, but bro was definitely going in on the second verse especially..

100% The only thing that stood out to me from Family Matters - in general - was the second part where Drake was going at the Weekend, ASAP Rocky and Rick Ross etc. I was like :ehh:

But the parts aimed at Kendrick were either :unimpressed: or :dahell: (wife beater allegations out of nowhere??)

End of the day, numbers don't lie. Family Matters didn't stream as high because there was nothing in there worth going back to for repeated listens.

Same with "Push-Ups" which is pretty much entirely forgotten :mjlol:

None of the disses Drake dropped has stood the test of time. Battle rapping just isn't his thing.

The only diss Drake dropped that will stand the test of time is Taylor Made…as an example of what NOT to do in a battle.

That nikka literally galvanized the west coast AGAINST him by invoking the likeness of THE most revered rap artist who ever lived. An artist who repped West Coast on his final blockbuster albums. An artist who many believe is the antithesis of everything Drake stands for.

Taylor Made might be worse than Supa Ugly and Wanna Know as all time battle rap fumbles.

Because rap beefs aren't decided who had the better beat or hook or something.

Yall sound silly trying to argue those songs won the beef when those songs were completely ineffective as diss songs. Diss songs aren't judged by how many women shake their asses to it or how the beat rattles the trunk.
According to whom? And what if someone has a different meaning of a a diss being “ineffective”?

What’s wrong with thinking who has the better songs won? I’m not talking about how women shake their asses or beat rattled the trunk. People are mad that they aren’t using a popularity contest now? :dead:

People are allowed to think and feel whatever they want. There are people who feel that Vanilla Ice is the greatest rapper of all time. There are people who feel like Brittany Spears is a top tier vocalist. There are people who feel like Carrot Top is the funniest comedian who ever lived.

But CONSENSUS says otherwise. Overwhelming consensus is that Nas whopped Jay’s ass in the battle and that Ether is, at minimum a top 5 diss of all time. Jay himself acknowledged his L in real time. His crew acknowledged his L. His business partner acknowledged the L. The hip hop community acknowledged his L and made Ether the verb for decimating an opponent lyrically. You can call the beat garbage but over twenty years later rappers still use it to invoke the hell they intend to unleash upon their opponents

Its even crossed over into mainstream media

The small minority who believe otherwise are entitled to that opinion but they have to understand the reality is they will always and forever BE the minority.

Same thing with Kendrick Vs Drake. Overwhelming consensus is that Kendrick lit Drake’s soul on fire and smoked the ashes. Kendrick had the higher charting songs, the most quotable lyrics, the highest viewed video, the most acclaimed performance, the most awarded song, and Drake admitted in his lawsuit that Not Like Us caused him mental anguish, anxiety, and harm.

Anyone who thinks Drake won after Kendrick’s complete dominance of any and all metrics for score keeping are certainly entitled to their opinion. They can THINK whatever they want. But again, they’ll always be an extremely small minority. Consensus by any measure of common sense is that Kendrick took the W.

I forget the line but he said something like “I get more love in the city that you from”…. That’s a no no. LA and Philly are not the same. Shyt, Cali as a whole don’t play that lol. Kid from Compton, making the music Kendrick makes, lol. Drake just lacks cultural awareness and it showed in this.
Cali just funny style especially LA. Them nikkas was ready to throw both Dot and Pac away for Nip when he died. When the hype died down shyt went back to regularly scheduled programming for nikkas. Kendrick himself is cool wit nikkas that disrespected Pac more than Drake ever has. All this shyt is performative. nikkas just like to use Pac name for clout. This why I looked at DJ Hed like a clown up there talkin bout what was disrespectful and what wasn’t. nikka shut up. U not gonna go say that shyt to Wack100. U nikkas would rather pick on someone u perceive as weaker. Same way them nikkas let Jay Worthy become a blood and say nikka left n right even tho he’s an Indian from Canada who grew up even more well off than Drake. Dot co-signed him as well.

lol…. In what world do people not view j cole or drake as black lol. I grew up with Folks, 2 black parents, who were called “white boy”… or being “not like us”… there’s a difference between how people are raised. Not saying it’s right or wrong, but it is what it is. Same thing with Latinos when they call their own “white washed” lol

Edit: and to avoid confusion, this was never a divide between mixed kids. No one has ever called out j cole for not being “like us”. Drake is just the CEO who wears Jordan’s with a suit. That’s what Kendrick was alluding to. That’s the guy
“We don’t wanna hear u say nikka no moooooreee!!..” nah Dot was def playing colorist games and the internet fed right into that shyt. This is why I pointed out him being an extreme hypocrite by letting Jay Worthy stand on stage next to him and say nikka left n right even tho he’s ALSO from Canada. Came from a more well off family than Drake. And isn’t black at all.

The hip hop community and culture

Like I said before, youre free to feel that way but understand that your opinion is an outlier. You look crazy trying to argue some conspiracy as the reason most people don't agree with you.
Wasn’t nothing cultural about this damn social media corporate ass battle. Asian breakdancers made Not Like Us viral on tik tok initially. lol. fukk this battle man pack all this shyt up and start over.

It’s not colorist lol and you know that. Again, being raised around it, verse coming to find it in your twenties is different. It’s stupid. There’s videos of Drake looking uncomfortable saying the n-word when he first came on the scene. It’s like seeing Bryant Gumbel completely switch up and start dropping n-bombs in every segment. I’m sure you understand what Kendrick was implying lol.
