I'm not a Kanye stan, nor a Drake stan. Like most of you, I've been an impartial audience to the OVO/GOOD beef.

Starting with Drake's most recent shots at Ye, leading up to this "Drake would have ended Kanye" rumor J Prince was pushing... I have to ask, without Kanye is there a Drake?

808's obviously influenced early Drake, particularly leading into So Far Gone. The argument can be made that 808's blazed the trail for a softer sound that Drake rolled in with and ended up championing as his own.

Then you have an album like Yeezus that was heavier on the Jamaican sound, electronic/world sound, for better or worse. Then all of a sudden Drake is from the islands?

Not to mention that Drake was obviously a Kanye, Pusha, GOOD fan before he made it on his own.

Kanye took a lot of the risks that Drake ended up benefitting from, and introduced ideas and sounds that Drake got to serve as his own. It's something I've always thought, but never cared to share until Drake thought it was time to "expose" Ye. Every artist has an influence or an inspiration, but I've always found it odd that Drake followed almost all of Ye's lane changes and trends.

I'm ok with being off on this. Just a thought.
