The stats based on singles are heavily skewed towards the digital era so ive always found it amusing when people try to lump in current artists high number of entries in against old artists where album sales>>>>> single sales.

Though that works both ways its unfair to compare album sales these days to back then.

not a shock

most hip hop singles never hit number 1

as someone said jay had his first and only with empire

which is crazy when hard knock and can i get a were ENORMOUS singles for example

but yea hip hop singles dont make it to number 1 majority of the time

number 1 is normally a pop act or a hugely trendy song like macarena or as of late "fancy"(not a jab) for example
Shouldn't "Fancy" count? I mean even barely, but it should.

The closest Drake ever came was "Best I ever Had." It peaked at #2. Crazy to think that after all of his success, that's still his biggest record.
