We need to define this "classic" thing.

Because Old heads will say shyt like Jeru The Damaja "The sun rises in the east" is classic, but then turn around and say "Take Care" isn't a classic even though i agree that Jeru's album is better.

When the former has had a little impact and the latter impacted music heavily.

I'm not a drake fan,but this has always bothered me.

Take Care is a really good album and So Far Gone is a good mixtape but that's about it...

Then again I'll keep it 100.. After NWTS, I've only listened to newer Drake albums (and the shyt he did with Future) like twice through... So it's not up to me really judge those albums. But majority of people seem to feel that Take Care was his best release so :manny:

I really enjoyed some songs on NWTS too but I wouldnt put it up there with Take Care

Everyone knows this. Its amazing just how average he really is. His team really deserves credit for making him into the pop star that he is despite being an average to below avg rapper and shytty singer.
He's Kid n Play level rap skills...which isn't bad but nothing special without a fancy beat to cover average up...

So Far Gone is the closest project to a classic that he has but even that hasn't aged well. His flow and lyricism sounds very dated on certain tracks but it's still 4/5 to me.

NWTS could have been the classic album but it's got 3 horrible tracks and the worst Jay Z feature verse I've ever heard. If Paris Morton 2 was its own track, 305 to my City, Hold On We're Going Home and Own It weren't on the album, that would be a classic album.

Now? He's on a full on popstar who makes derivate music so the classic album is never coming.

To be fair more people will be playing Drake in 20 years than any other rapper today. Or most classic rappers...

I agree he has no classics although maybe you could make the case for Take Care given its impact.
Nah. They won't.

Nobody gonna be bumping garbage shyt like views.

:comeon: Better beats?? Drake has Bino beat in that category by a mile.

And let's assume for a sec Drake writes his raps (because there's zero point in making these comparisons if you're not), in no way does Bino have better content or a better flow than Drake. Bino's struggle abstract shyt is not beating Drake's emo thot songs any day of the week. And Drake can chameleon on any beat and sound natural on it, I've only really heard Bino flow with his usual flow and sometimes go double time. Again though this if we're assuming Drake writes and conceptualizes most of his stuff

And if any Childish project is a classic then Take Care and So Far Gone are undeniable certified 5 mics. Don't kid yourself there

When you say "Drake's" flows/cadences. I'm curious as which contributor you're referring to. :jbhmm:
