Drake really didn't want Kendrick to have another summer like 2017

KENDRICK didn’t want to have a summer like 2017 or clearly he would have released an album more akin to Damn than To Pimp A Butterfly. Hell Mr Morale & The Big Steppers is probably even less “commercial” than TPAB.

I highly doubt Kendrick is losing any sleep over Drake and vice versa. Their in two almost completely different lanes other than both being rappers. Drake is a full on pop star whereas Kendrick is a full on Conceptual MC.

Kamikaze was good, though. It was a short album, he didn't overthink it, no attempts to make a radio hit. It's the kind of album I wish he made more often.

Which is what makes me think Drake has something similar planned. No way he would come back so soon if he didn't have anything to prove.
