man stop it, if anything, these fugazi streaming counts are giving these dudes bloated "records" off something we could never do in the past, count every single time every person who purchased an album played every single song. i can only imagine what the real records would look like counting the 10M people who bought thriller and multiplying every single song play from that album. lastly, the hell yall really expecting from the industry? only so much revenue can be squeezed from a user paying 9.99/month to listen to absolutely everything when they want and however many times, they used to get 9.99 per album, now they splitting 9.99/month across people listening to 10-100 projects...

i used to spend probably close to $100/month on music. Now i spend pretty much the $9.99 :manny:

So people learned a Drake album was coming out, rushed to listen...and didn't return to anything outside of Sticky and Jimmy Cooks - the two most traditional Drake tracks on the album.

I made a similar argument about Big Steppers and that still nearly hit 300k, suggesting enough people went back to get close to 295k.
