Yes he did. I got the special edition vinyl the week of release.

Now it could be argued that his first week was impacted by his cross country car tour selling the album out of his trunk because i’m sure he sold thousands and those didn’t count towards his physical/pure sales on Billboard but the fact remains that with the recent changes towards how streaming is weighted/counted huge artists aren’t cracking 300-350K with ease anymore. Drake’s got anticipation, curiosity, and an “intriguing” rollout on his side so 400K is possible but anything above that would mean he dropped one of the better albums of his career and word of mouth was getting around and I just don’t believe he’s capable of THAT anymore.
