That's the funky FB homie!!!!!! Legendary
How do you know so many ohio people, breh?
I love music from Ohio. Big into Dayton, Columbus. Not from there. Name a group, I'm probably into it: Sun,Ohio Players,Kool & the gang,Lakeside,Slave. Band after band after band, what a scene.
But as you know, it's the birthplace of so much Funk & Soul. King Records which groomed Bootsy & His brother Catfish for preparation for rhythm section for James Brown "JB's" There's Zapp,Lakeside. Ohio is like a music industry unto itself.
If you listen to this Roger Troutman interview (related because it explains a bit of the Ohio DIY attitude) , you will be wowed out by the whole family. They don't talk about the Troutman's but they should. The construction company, their recording studio "Sound labs" Pioneers in this bytch.... If they had a hundred million, Troutman's could've been a motown.
Crazy that the band is still on the road. And you know what's even more bizarre? Because most of the music that is known is through the talkbox, you can always have someone singing who uses the methods Roger had, taught by a disciple. Technically the band could go on forever.
But that family is filled with tragedy, I didn't know his son died.

shyt had to be difficult to be a musician in Ohio. NYC & LA have all the resources.
