When asked by a fan whether his "expressive passion for the music hurt/prevented you from being mentioned with the rest of your class?," Wale handily agreed. He also mentions that "being a dark skinned (not half white) rapper direct decent from Africa" also hurt him greatly in his career.

Crazy seeing the mental gymnastics nikkas is doing since the Drake pic dropped

Isn't Jadakiss Nigerian? I like Wale, but his excuses are garbage. Lotus Flower Bomb popped cause it was hot. His more recent shyt didn't because it was meh.

I don't think that's why he hasn't been thoroughly embraced. He has 2 #1 albums, which puts him in the 99.99999 percentile of rappers that have ever picked up a microphone. The people he wants to be compared to are leaders of their crews/labels

Meek although under MMG, he has established Dreamchasers and reps them more than MMG

Streets respect bosses a bit more :manny:

If he gets his EBM imprint going it could be a good thing for his status.

a lot of people bought into this when banks said it about cardi and other fair/white women. if that is true then i'm inclined to believe it occurs for males too.
