Not watching all 9 but I remember lines on 5am in Toronto from that same time
fukk them nikkas this year, I made Forbes list
fukk your list, everything's looking gorgeous
That's May 2013. Control is in Aug, BET freestyle in Oct. This was back when he did interviews so there's footage of him responding to Control saying he's not bothered. Drake replied to that MTV list at least 2 times on wax, could be more. "The sensitive rapper back in his pajama clothes" didn't bother tho lol
2024 was brewing for over a decade, kinda makes you look at things somewhat different. I thought Kenny was a weirdo for having at least 5 songs ready or w.e. the rumor was. Aubrey's been subbing off and on nonstop this entire time all the way up to FATD & Stories About My Brother. He's not Kobe and LA doesn't love him. I thought it was about Kendrick when I heard it originally and it 100% is after Push Ups, telling him he gets move love in that city than Kendrick. He hates somebody else has a big fanbase in his genre but accepts Cole since he knows Cole is a lot farther away than Kenny, and Cole didn't go on tour with him starting out so Aubrey can't little bro Cole like Kendrick
fukk all of em outside of Cole. LolI tried to tell my nikkas @spliz and a few others that Drake was always mad that Kendrick dared to claim King and embrace his destiny because he thought taking him on tour meant he’d always stay under his thumb. Drake didn’t do that tour shyt out of the goodness of his heart or for “Hip Hop” he did it strategically so that Kendrick and Asap Rocky would be placated early and never challenge him while he utilized ghostwriters and rode trends and appropriated other artists momentum on his rise to the top. He threw shots at Kendrick for topping an MTV list but still planned to work with him (riding his wave) all up until Kendrick called out everybody for the fade and told the world he was the best. Then Drake got ass-hurt and, not only whined about it, but tried to get every rapper to get on board with not working with Kendrick, which he thought would hurt Kendrick’s career. But Kendrick as a WRITER and an ARTIST proved he didn’t need a bevy of blockbuster rap features to sell units. To Pimp A Butterfly was mostly all Kendrick, with ONE guest verse from an almost unknown at the time Rapsody (and a hook from Snoop Dogg)
Told cats a long while ago there's a massive overlap between MAGA (Ak, Mal, Adin Ross, Tate, etc.) and Drake stans.
Lose a rap battle and blame Democrats, brehs.
Fred.
fukk J Cole the most. Weakest link of this generation, and biggest fraud of this generation.fukk all of em outside of Cole. Lol
Damn, this just aint been a good year for the boy

he gonna sue starbucks like that lady who sued McDonalds for hot coffee![]()

Is this real? He looks like he’s an alcoholic
They entertain it because Drake and his fans push the narrative that he is and it creates an engagement on itI'll never understand people comparing Drake's catalog to actual rappers.
How does Drake vs Jay make sense when 50+ % of Drake's catalog is R&B/pseudo-R&B crooning?
His biggest song, "One Dance", is not even rap. Most of his top 10 highest streamed songs, is his singing sh*t. "Hotline Bling", etc.
Jay has only ever rapped. First album? Rap. Last album? Rap. Biggest song? Rap.
I do not understand the logic behind "Drake is the biggest/best/rapper" or "let's compare him to the all time great rappers" when everyone he's being compared to is actually rapping on every project, and he isn't.
And I've seen the argument "well, that just proves he's more diverse"....ok cool, but being a great R&B/pop artist is completely unrelated to being a great rapper.
