I get this… but what most people are overlooking is… I’ll use sports terms. Why ride a motorcycle when you’re in contract year as an athlete. Any business would do this. The Mariah thing is not comparable. Drake isn’t some saint doing this for artists. It's not, UMG's team already pleading to the song being completely cap in terms of there not being anything factual in the lyrics...

UMG is trying to argue that listeners never took the lyrics to be real, and that everyone knew that hyperbole is to be expected during a "rap battle"

Courts have found that statements of mixed opinion are actionable meaning you can be sued for them.
