Although some people don’t consider me a lawyer in that I have never studied nor practiced law I do find it very odd that he can make an allegation out of nowhere and then sue to find out.
If I write a song making wild claims about what all my favorite celebrities look like naked can I then sue them and compel them to send me the nudes?

The whole lawsuit is based on a tweet that has been deleted, and the author of the bot theory (quoted in the suit) admitted he was trolling and doesn't want to be involved in that bullshyt.

Drake is just getting milked by his lawyers at this point.

Even Akademiks said he doesn't support this lawsuit and said he doesn't understand why he's cited as a source for this crap when he literally admitted live he was wrong about the song being botted :russ:

Hypothetically if this was true and Drake had some type of proof, why not release it himself and put it in a song?

A meet the grahams type beat with Drake just talking to kendrick about how he put hands on his girl and ran her off into another man's arms, with pictures of Dave with Whitney and the kids as the cover art. If any of that was true.

Instead he's in court trying to make UMG verify his allegations, like a hail mary attempt at getting some type of proof from the label.

His lawyers actually dropped that request. The request came in a June filing and in further filings, it was left off while the other requests remained.

This… as a person who works in the corporate world, this is sad. Music is supposed to be an escape. AND folks don’t understand the request to see emails…. It’s a big no-no, cause at this point, it diverts from what’s he’s seeking and can open a can of worms to the board; and the intent wasn’t done on some martyr shyt, but pure ego.

Nah it will definitely ruin Kendrick rep, but I don't think it will be massive cause people are going to go by one incident that took place more than a decade ago. It's not like he has a public history of abuse and and violence towards women.

People will probably treat him almost the same way they treat Chris Brown and Chris Brown is worse.
