Put all that ghostwriting shyt to the side for a minute: Has Drake ever stood for anything in his life that doesnt involve himself? Where's he been on Black issues his whole career? The most I ever saw from him was a fence sitting instagram message this past summer. That man stands for nothing but self promotion and self enrichment and if he wasnt involved in Black music genres, its hard to believe he would even embrace his Black roots cause dude wears whatever cultural mask is convenient for him at the moment.

Anyone who puts this dude & Pac's name in the same sentence is out their goddamn mind.

Should whether Drake is bigger than Tupac depend on if Drake "stands for anything"? :jbhmm:

Drake grew up in different circumstances with different challenges than Tupac, so why should he have to stand up for the same things Tupac stood up for in order to be a bigger force? Aren't they different people? :skip:

Yes, you do have to respect Tupac for his impact on the culture overall, but... Drake is winning at life right now :manny: And bottom line, he's still alive and has the chance to continue improving and making bigger moves in the industry.

They're young and they don't know anymore that what they've grown up seeing and listening too. That's all. Of course a 23 old is gon say some shyt like this.

He has no recollection of what it was like when Pac was here and dropping great music.

that's not excuse I'm 27 which is younger than drake and I would never say no dumb shyt like that

I'm just saying. Not every relatively "new" or young listener of Hip Hop is at a point of listening to the music where they might be interested in going back and listening to shyt that came out before they born or checking for Hip Hop.

I hear you though
