Is OP talking skills, or is he talking popularity. Popularity wise OP is correct; otherwise, he's dead wrong. Ill keep this neg pending until more is revealed :francis:

It was harder to be a star in Jays era so he wins even if you do believe this to be true.

And more importantly,i notice OP left out the streets:sas1:, in which Jay wins by a landslide.

Lemme guess the Op's response "bu bu but the streets don't matter:mjcry:"

Nope.

Jay was going 3 mill in an era when there was multiple super stars from every region vying for attention.

And no, I obviously don't expect Drake to go 3x mill in 2016....but the sole reason he's on top is because there isn't much to compete with him. To put it into perspective his closest peer is probably Kendrick and they don't even make the same kind of music. Musically a Drake album is closer to an Adele album than what Kendrick is doing.

Hell, never mind all that. We're still talking about Jay in 2016. Do you seriously believe Drake will be a factor 20 years from now? People always over rate the importance of a rapper in his prime. The same thing happened to 50 and Wayne.
