Drake makes more listenable albums than Kendrick

Another day, another "let's bash Kendrick" thread.

Anyhow its all different strokes for different folks. Drake's music is more accessible than Kendrick's so it makes for an easier listening experience for most people. I personally found 90% of Views and a little over half of IYRTITL to be pretty meh.

I could semi-agree but then again I've not played the whole Views album since the week it dropped.

But yes, Drakes album are simpler and easier to listen to. That doesn't make them better, the difference is that I want to play Kendricks albums from the first to the last song every time. They are that good and structures that way. With Drake I can play skip a few songs with no problems. Just put on half of the album and switch it of easily when I reach my destination.

Drake makes madonna type music. Catchy and memorable. Kendrick makes Bob Marley type music timeless and introspective. TPAB is ahead of its time. But at the same time a throwback to the days of Tribe and De La....difference is Kendricks music will still sound good 20 years from now and alot of the music from the early 90s sounds dated as hell.

Drake music is easy listening top 40 trite for simple minded people..easy to digest but zero replay value. Kendricks shyt is for more mature audiences that have been with hip-hop for a long time.
