This is a solid project. There's some good songs here. I just hate the trap ones (same thing I said about the Ross album)

Can't Have Everything on repeat. :lolbron:

I don't care what anyone says - this is his best commercial work.

And I gotta :russ: at everyone calling this trash while listing every single (semi-traditional) rap song on it as the only joints you fukk with. After 8 years in the game and the level of his body of work, you wasted 81 minutes of your life on a project b/c you thought this nikka was gonna release a rap album? You played yourself.

It's obvious some of ya'll think comments/criticisms are like this cool but you look like a dumbass, bih. :gucci:

It's fine to hate More Life if you want but if your only criticism is that he doesn't rap enough well....:francis:

Anyway, many will be relieved to know that I'm taking (a very long) hiatus from The Coli. I'm over it.

To paraphrase Drake

Ya'll nikkas is (smart-dumb) arrogant
Ya'll sleep at the Sheraton (a roach infested apartment)
All that shyt embarrassing

Peace. :snooze:
Your really invested in this

This is not hip hop. Hip hop is not universal. For 1,000,000th time. Hip hop is exclusive to the black experience here in America and no where else.

Idiot talk from a regular ass poster. So when hip hop's founders like Bambaataa have routinely said "Hip hop is universal", you of course know better

Hip hop is definitely Black American music. No one will or should ever disagree with you. It's specifically Black American New York music. But what makes hip hop so dope is that it inherently has a 'world music' aspect to it because of how eclectic you can get with the sampling. It pulled ideas from damn near everywhere (especially other Black people in diaspora). Which is why it should surprise no one that hip hop was born in NY - NY being one of the most diverse and cultural hubs on the planet. Just about anyone can get into hip hop, especially if you're Black from another region that's not New York or even outside of the US altogether.

MC Solaar, a French cat from Senegal, is one of the dopest rappers I've ever heard. His 2nd album Prose Combat is better than 95% of people who have ever rapped. And trust me, American rappers know this. That's why DJ Premier stays shoutin him out and he did a track with Missy.

My point is - UK nikkas are allowed to rap. shyt, some of the greatest rappers were born in the UK like Slick Rick and MF DOOM - though they both grew up in the US and obviously don't have that shytty accent. UK dudes for some reason or the other haven't really mastered the art of rap. And that accent :gag:
