Drake, Nicki Minaj, J. Cole, Eminem, and Lil Wayne are the ONLY rappers to sell 100k+ first week with every one of their studio album

Because his first album was without major label backing. I thought you knew this. My bad

I don't expect Section.80 to sell 100k first week but this wasn't some random underground rapper lol. I can imagine the listeners went up over time but I remember playing Max Payne 3 and jamming that shyt and it, the ADHD freestyle, Tammy's song, etc buzzing heavy

But think this is a very weird criteria because like you said, no major label backing. Think it's just because they now claim Section.80 as a debut instead of GKMC which also makes sense

50s did this too, plus both g unit albums sold at least 100k first week as well as the grodt sound track . Rappers like em and Cole also still sell a lot of physical CDs too so they are making a lot more money.

Everybody going there will tell you it's more of a Kendrick feat Sza show.

it has been officially labelled a hip hop show because, guess what, Kendrick has more performance time.

Kendrick also has 4 sets of songs, against 3 for sza.
I saw the setlist. It’s a co-headlining tour breh.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Wasn’t Section 80 a mixtape? Because other than that all Kendrick’s first weeks have been over 100,000. You already know that’s a paid ovhoe that posted this.
Section 80 was an album. It was marketed as an album. All the way up until GKMC when they tried to remarket it as a mixtape to act like GKMC was his debut.
