what other rappers that were popping in 2013 are still relevant now? not many :heh:
Majority of the big rappers from that time are doing OK, but I'd say only Cole and Kendrick are still "relevant" after Drake. They drop albums and everything stops!

Two more years to see if that bar stuck tho:sas2:

That pretty much sums up EXACTLY how i feel when I first listened to the album...and another thing this album doesn't have a lot of certified BANGERS like how Thank Me Later and Take Care had. I mean granted you do have Started From The Bottom, but other then that..that's pretty much it. Also, i hate to say this, but this album felt sorta incomplete without a Weezy or Nicki verse/hook. I'd never thought I would say that..

I mean after killing ALL those features last year and dropped 5 AM In Toronto..I expected Drizzy to come with more heat.

Who knows the album MIGHT grow on me with more listens..but as of right now it's very bleh to me..
10 years later..

This album grew to me something serious over the decade. Honestly this was his last album where he actually took making an album serious and you can tell he took his TIME to make a focused album. He wasn’t chasing hits, he was just trying to make a good body of work.

It’s pretty interesting how he had the “DAMN.” concept before Kendrick. The album was meant to be played forward AND backwards. He said in a Vibe interview that the deluxe edition was going to begin with “Pound Cake” and end with “Tuscan Leather.” The label didn’t go through with it cause of some bullshyt with iTunes (aka they didn’t get it.. :francis: ). But if he would have pulled that off, NWTS would be considered his undisputed classic.
