It's mostly because introspective rap is viewed as more real and are therefore held to a higher standard. They see Drake nearly 40 rapping about relationships like a teenager, and it badly reflects on him as a person. On the other hand, people see Jay and Push's coke raps like action movies. They’re seen as tall tales, so no one takes them seriously.

So why do some artists get a pass for their obvious ducktales & others get clowned

There's really no reviews from what I looked up. Washington Post and New York Times did reviews. But I haven't seen anything from a hip hop website or publication yet.

When i first played Her Loss and heard Rich Flex i knew that album was gonna be dope. This shyt right here tho I kept skipping to the next track looking for a gem. Some mid to trash shyt throughout, nothing really stuck out to me.

I'm not done listening but so far I fukk with it. It's exactly what I was expecting from Drake and PND. catchy melodic r&b/rap. Nothing deep just enjoyable music to bump

I’m in Jamaica celebrating Valentine’s Day with my wife. Played it start to finish twice.

We are both really enjoying it. It’s a good Drake album. Drake was just doing PND and skating past UMG in the process.


With that said. This is rather good for what it is. A melody Drake album in the FukBoy stage in Drake’s career.

I like it. Waiting for the Solo joint which I hope he takes seriously and brings back Scorpion vibes.
