It's really the only lane that wouldn't have gotten him laughed out the building even more and arguably plays to his strength. Can't really try to act tough based on Kendrick sonning him so bad he had to be on the other side of the planet during the Super Bowl performance.

The stats don't back that up. Or else short EP's would be doing crazy numbers. If you have a crazy loyal fanbase like drake or Kendrick then more songs will always equal more streams. Especially first week. Cause dedicated fans are gonna be playing the album non stop when it releases.

The last time drake released an album with under 15 tracks he only did 200k first week. That's not a coincidence. Since then he's either done Collab albums or his albums have had over 20 songs. He knows how to play the numbers game. Eventually the cream rises to the top and the weaker songs fall off. But for first week sales, more songs usually always equates to more streams. What really matters is streams PER song. That's the true indicator of how much fans are enjoying your album.

if you have 5 songs you have 5 chances for a 5. 10, you have 10. 20, obviously 20.

Drake is a popstar, giving himself 20+ chances for one of his songs to hit. odds are better the more songs he includes.

Her loss was a Collab album with 21 .....that actually further proves my point. He flopped so bad with honestly nevermind that he knew he had to attach his name to a new age rapper with a strong following. To be honest, 400k first week was pretty low considering how established both of them were. Then he came with FATD with 23 songs cause he knew he was all on his own again.

It's a smart strategy considering first week sales is what most people pay attention to. His fanbase will always show out in that first week and he knows that.
