I stopped at track 7. No growth. Same r&b sound since he came out. PND, good writer, **** singer and somehow sounds worse. I'm cool on this for now.

I'm by far more a fan of aggressive rapping Drake so I knew off top this record wasn't gonna be for me

PND does nothing for this album. It feels like he’s holding Drake back lowkey. At this point I’ll take drakes vocals and rapping over PND. PND might as well be a ghost. Ppl say Drake washed him, when in reality Drake carried him. PND need thank that man.

But then again, this could all be part of drakes Machiavellian plan to make himself look better.

PND is an insurance policy in case the album bricks; people can say it ain't even a Drake album anyway. I noticed Drake doesn't have any of the tracks on his youtube page. It's actually a decent strategy for Drake to test the waters for a "comeback" solo album.

He will do numbers, but it really doesn't matter as the album is mid to me personally. For all my dogs did numbers but was also trash and after listening couple of times when it dropped I have not gone back to a single track on that album.

Also, to folks saying Drake has always had long projects… I agree. Last project I fully like from him was More Life. The diff with those long albums was, the highs were extremely high to overshadow the lows. That’s how you make a great project whether short or long. With this, off first listen, I’m not hearing that. “Give Me a Hug” and “Nokia” have been the highlights, but let’s be real it’s no “energy”, “10 Bands”, “passion fruit”, “get it together”, “kmt”..

I just wish dude sat down and made 12 tracks concise album.

I think that's the main point both detractors and fans make, cut the fat off and make a concise 12-15 track album and he'll be good.

You think this actually sounds like a PND album??? PND sounds like a complete passenger and background noise on this. He’s very insignificant on here.

That's fair, definitely more Drake on this album than party. But I meant the actual sound (beat, tempo, mood, vibe) is exactly how most Party albums sound. Drake R&B records go all over the spectrum, PND albums pretty much all sound just like this (only with 99% just PND).
