He really tryna to Shark Rihanna's work wave and turn it into another lane for himself but he doesn't realize how unnecessary he was on that track. It's a little sad to see the guy who's supposedly the face of rap music scrambling to find a style for a new project because in all actuality he never had one of his own to begin with. It's really starting to become transparent that is way worse than the ghostwriting shyt. He does the same shyt Soulja Boy does but gets none of the criticism because of how carefully and meticulously his image and brand has been crafted and those power players who have a stake in his continued success. I still will check for his music but now I'm like who's music is it?
What you old heads forget to do is to observe the history of music. Ask yourself why people lost interest in a lot of great rappers and artists.
Drake has been on top of this game for 7 years already, the greatest artists with the longest career change styles to keep it fresh and then they switch back and on.
Look at Kanye, every album is completely different, Jay-z switched style every now and then, Eminem, Common, Dr. Dre, Sense to Bob Dylan, Beatles or Miles Davis. The reason to why most legendary artists can't compete with the next generations is cause they try to compete with shyt that has already been done. Drake has analyzed music and been advised by great people, which is why he does different shyt. The hard shyt is to deliver outside of your "most" comfort zone.

Drakes most comfort zone is just straight spitting from his heart over either a dreamy beat with a r&b hook or a soulful beat with energy.

:dahell: you mean the song she got from the OVO team?
Doesn't change the fact that it's her song and she gave the song life and it's not a #1 smash without her.

You know, the same way that y'all claim that 10 Bands and all that is Drakes wave despite someone else writing and rehearsing it for him?

That's his wave

This is hers.
