It blows my mind that my whole family is Jamaican, I was raised Jamaican, grew up visiting Jamaica and I've had Jamaican born Jamaicans say I'm not Jamaican


But will accept Drake with open arms, even tho he didn't grow up around West Indians like that. I'd understand if he was stanning Memphis, but he's not even doing that

He was a sponge to U.S. rap culture and media. He did covers to songs most people wouldn’t even think about today but Millennials and late Gen X remember from their formative years. Even named one of his tours the Boy Meets World tour. He’s the new Diddy in some ways. Diddy loved repackaging shyt from the 70s and 80s. Drake loves repacking everything we grew up on in the 90s and 2000s.
