drake been rich his whole life
but if he talking bout the rap game, he still started from the bottom.
he was still an absolute nobody from a country that hip hop didn't care about.
he grinded his way to the top. even if he got trey songs on his track, he still made da connection and he paid trey with money he made on his own

i think drake is wack minus a few songs but i'm just being honest

and you don't gotta be from queensbridge or something to start from the bottom

:snoop: at telling someone that made onto a popular tv show and later became a superstar rapper that he can't be proud of his success because he didn't have a crackhead mother, a drug dealing father and didn't grow up on Section 8. SMH. And I say this as a nikka that grew up on Section 8 :stopitslime:

I wish some nikka would try to tell me I can't be proud of my work. Hell yea, I started from the bottom :stopitslime:

He was in his room just like you like "Imma make it one day".....a fukking nobody from Canada :stopitslime:

While all his high school boys was out chasing bytches, smoking, not doing shyt, whatever....he went out auditioning. Got the role on Degrassi. Made a little money. Used that money to invest and accelerate his music grind. He could afford the Trey Songz features, he could get his record out to nikkas who knew nikkas that knew nikkas. :snoop: at nikkas hating on that grind. That was smart of him. Most 20 year olds would've blew that TV show money. Jealous azz nikkas :smh:

Basically nikkas saying they dont like Drake because they feel he got to the top too easy. He bought his way there. Newsflash. Alot of rappers had money before rap or had someone with deep pockets funding their career...

Slim Thug was a millionaire or close to it before rap. That gave Slim Thug the chance to mingle with cats like Pharrell when he was a nobody :stopitslime:

Jay-Z had a few hundred thousand before rap, or so he says. That allowed Jay the freedom to start his own label :stopitslime:

Lil Wayne wasn't no struggling mixtape rapper tryna get on. Birdman been rich....them boys was moving 100,000s of albums every month in NOLA plus god knows what other illegal shyt they was into on the side. That allowed Birdman to walk into Universal and have enough leverage for that stupid ass deal he got :stopitslime:

But those stories sound "cool". Those dudes got their money in the street. Put it towards rap. Drake got his money off a TV show. Put it towards rap. But that's not "cool". So lames on here hate :snoop:

Room for Improvement was released in 2006. Drake didn't blow up until around the time when So Far Gone was released in 2009. Having Trey on the tape obviously didn't mean much if it still took him over 3 more years to start being noticed.

No one was trying to take the kid from Degrassi seriously as a rapper. He proved himself with the music and was on his third mixtape before he started seeing any real success and now look where he is. He worked hard for this, can't be mad at that at all.

Drakes first work dates back to 2006 & he didn't blow up until 2009... what do cats think he was doing that whole time??? Putting in work... not to mention the odds were against a suburban dude from the suburbs of fukking Canada who was on a corny television network show... he had to be nothing less then stellar in order for that to work...

Most of queens is houses dummy . My house was nice because my mom took good care of it . My point is do you have to be rich to not live in a shytty House or apartment ?Is Hollis queens rich it's filled with houses too ?

Ok first of all, I don't care about ur upbringing since u seem to be a fakkit who dont understand the point people in this thread are making.

Did u see the video? Drake had a 04 acura, a nice house with a full fridge, nice ass living room, IN FOREST HILL (google it), his own basement with a living room and bedroom separated. If you can look at that and tell me he started from the bottom then ur either a fanboy who just want to protect ur hero or u're being delusional to what start from the bottom means.

Alot of people in queens have houses like that its easy if you have parents who give a damn brehs . Does everyone here live in the projects ??? You all got pissy elevators? I grew up in a house myself a few blocks from gilmores funeral home right off linden blvd .

He ain't from Queens though. He's from one of the nicest parts of Canada which is one of the nicest/safest places on the planet.

He in no way, shape or form started from the bottom. I'm not even hating, but it is what it is. People need to stop moving the goal post on what "the bottom" is.

Fred.
