So let me get this straight. Drake is Jewish and tried to get into 2 industries dominated by Jews. He's from Canada, one of the nicest places on the planet. Not only that, he's from one of the richest parts of Canada, and had friends with acting agent dads that hooked up his gig on "Degrassi".

If I gave you an acting agent, and literally nothing else off that list, then you'd have a point. Dude hit the lotto as far as advantages go. Why people are so loath to admit that, I dunno. The ironic part is if Drake never made the song, this wouldn't even be a point of discussion. He did, so here we are.

Man I like your posts in the breaking bad thread but you obviously have no idea about the music or entertainment industry if you think its that easy to just be put on. The industry tries to make stars every day and fails. What drake did is special and something to be proud off.

acting was this dudes dream. rap superstar was his plan B. he had the family to do so.

FOH! shyt is illogical. tell me the difference between a family that moves to a good neighborhood and struggles to make ends meet and a family who remains in the hood and send their kids to private schools and keep their home in order and kids fixed up? Its cause a lot of these dudes actually had rap dreams. They cant objectively look at drakes success without feeling like failures. Its hilarious they try to downplay coming from Canada and being on a teen TV show to being the best rapper in the game just like that. Its not like anyone gave it to him, he kept grinding and now the industry has no choice but to fukk with drake. He keeps making hit after hit and anthem after anthem. He pretty much is the rap game and everyone else follows his lead. It was great watching his career unfold.

for what its worth, the video made me appreciate his love for music.

I have no problem with drake rapping. what pisses me off is the ridiculous plant push and the unwarranted props that he gets for being an average rapper. hes not the only one tho.
