@OP

That's a straw-man, I bet you are good at those type of arguments. I don't have to defend why or under what circumstances I criticize anyone.....Whether a public figure, or a friend of mine. Esp. when what I am critiquing is a public response to a national issue, made public by the person himself.

Instagram? We talkin bout Instagram?

:aicmon:

Yet in his music he's saying shyt like "I would have all of your fans if I didn't go pop and I stayed on some conscious shyt"...

Meanwhile Kendrick and Cole actually use their art to address the shyt head on and touch hands with people on the ground. The REAL Hov he claims he has replaced has used his status to bring awareness to issues and ease the pain of some of the victims families.

The sentiment is cool but we been having an open and honest dialogue at least in hip hop since before NWA was poppin, we been took that step. If he means between us and the police, ain't a fukkin chance that will happen because they operate on the same gang principals as street gangs do.

I'm not going to knock him for the post, I just notice a pattern of him bringing shyt like this up usually coincides with somebody being on his ass and it usually dies out shortly thereafter. Though certainly not obligated, he has much more power and influence at his disposal than is shown here.

:yeshrug:

Rap shyt aside, bless that innocent man that got murdered, his family, Drake, OP, anybody reading this shyt for that matter. I'm of the opinion that the time has passed for dialogue. We're at a point in time were the snuff films are speaking for themselves, even to those trying hard to cover their eyes.

It being this blatantly laid on the table like it is now, regardless of how fukked up it is in the short term is a sign to me at least that it's gonna get better. This shyt is a sickness and the symptoms within this body we live in are blaring, begging to be addressed and healed.

According to Complex, Drake has donated $75,000 toward creating a recording studio at a troubled high school in Philadelphia.

Strawberry Mansion High School (whose alumni include Meek Mill) has struggled with violence and budget issues, and principal Linda Cliatt-Wayman has faced an uphill battle trying to improve academics on campus and reduce violence. ABC News screened a report on Wayman’s efforts last year, prompting Drake to get involved.
