Stop with this is one of Drake's idols. The guy has named like 20+ rappers over the years as his influences and people he looked up to included the whole fukking Wu Tang Clan.

He's not going to diss Joe Budden because 1) hes a nobody compared to Drake and 2)Joe Budden spent the last 4 years sucking doods dikk on Twitter and interviews.

Idol is a stretch, but duke on the front page posted the vid when Drake was pretty much in fan mode the whole time he was talking to Joey.

Those mood music tapes was big amongst early/mid 00's internet message board/myspace heads, which Drake most definitely was a part of. And nobody was getting super vulnerable in sharing their thoughts and relationship issues on albums like that before Joey.

Kanye did as well, but not on the same level, and Joey was making those types of records on his first album before 'Ye dropped.

He may not be Drake's idol, but Drake was most definitely heavily influenced by him, just like Kendrick, Cudi, Wale, and Cole were. That's why Joey rides so hard for them. He knows they took his M.O. and ran with it further than he could.

Budden's gonna have 80 punchlines involving NBA players that Drake has probably hung out with in real life.

Ok look at it like this, if joe saw lil b as a rival or someone he felt was threatening to him on the rap side of things, like he thought of game, or ransom or Saigon, and instead of just clowning him on Twitter jumped in the booth and wrote a diss record back, do you honestly think he would of took the L? let's not forget lil b apologised after the fact lol
He apologized after Joe surrendered
Lil B destroyed that mans whole existence on that record

His career
his simpish ways
his personal life

everything

Lil B destroyed that nikka on wax

The fact u arguing this tells me u some Joe budden stan

"How u go mainstream and run back underground" :wow:
"Shut the fck up with them depressing ass songs
Its the summer time get some p*ssy and go home" :damn:

"Go make a mixtape and mope over every song
Keep recording girlfriends bet you still jack off
With your butt-cheeks out listening to mood music
Screaming, "Lil B why the fukk you gotta ether me""

:wow:

He dikk rides EVERYONE.

Yes the Mood Music tapes were popular, the first two at least, and Joe Budden *WAS* a good MC but he's fallen off. Why would Drake waste his breath on him when he could use it to continue to bait Kanye and Jay-z to get into a 'war' with him? Why battle Joe Budden?

I would love to see them battle though. It's like Ying and Yang. You have the guy who loves women to a fault, whines about them vs the guy who beats the brakes off bad bytches because hes high off PCP

All i'm saying is Drake was influenced by Joey. Anything outside of that shouldn't be addressed to me.

I fukks with both of them. I don't want to see them beef.

I understood what Joe was trying to say in his rant, and I'm sure he meant no malice in his statement. He was trying to motivate the youngin in his own way. I'm pretty sure Drake understands that as well.

And to address the dikk riding comment, when did it become wrong to tell nikkas you fukk with their music? Anybody who raps was influenced by a thousand nikkas that rapped before them, rather they want to admit it or not. I respect Drake for being honest and telling nikkas he fukks with their music. It doesn't have to be dikk riding breh.

Where is the proof he was influenced by Joe Budden other than a throw away comment he's made about 20 other people? I don't hear it and did he influence Drake or the people actually writing the rhymes?

Telling people you fukk with their music is one thing. To act extra with it, almost like a goofy fan, is over the top for anyone that is a serious MC. Now in hindsight I can tell he doesn't take MCing as serious as a lot of other rappers do since he doesn't write his own rhymes but that is another thread....
