Which is why a rap battle should be judged on bars and not gossip. And bar for bar Drake actually won. Kendrick had more exposition and story/ gossip telling but not as many bars. Drake touched on gossip too but it was in a witty rap bar way. Thats the difference here.

I disagree that in this format that a back and forth should be judged based on bars. It’s not a traditional battle rap like in a cypher. They’re making songs/music at the end of the day. Hit ‘Em Up wasn’t about trying to be witty, but it’s arguably the best diss record of all time.
