Correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t all 3 making trap songs and singing on their records? As garbage as I think Drake is, those other 2 sure have followed his blueprint.

J Cole has 1 trap sounding song on his last album. He’s definitely singing/harmonizing on a lot of tracks on there. Kendrick has zero trap sounding sounds on GNX and has at best 2 songs where he’s harmonizing. GNX is a purely very LA/Bay album. Singing didn’t start with Drake btw, that predates him, so there’s no “blueprint” they are following. Lastly the “music for teens” is very much a Drake thing. He has Peter Pan syndrome. Kendrick dropped a fun yet mature album, probably his most accessible sounding album. Cole dropped a mature album even if there is a lot of surface level stuff. Drake’s projects since probably Dark Lane Demo Tapes has literally just been derivatives of early Drake albums, which is why his stuff is really just resonating on TikTok and swiftly falling off the charts. These projects would probably be nice for 24 year old Drake. From 39 year old Drake, it sounds like last call desperation music.

What? :dead:

Kendrick has at best 2 trap songs in his entire solo catalog :dead:
Probably the same for J.Cole

You don't know what trap is.

Kendrick last 2 albums are LA influenced, and black rock (LA SOUL from the 70s) influenced...
