Serious question though for my younger brehs, because I'm admittedly . How does something like this actually happen? You have to know the person followed somebody on socials, and then you can search who they follow currently and see they don't anymore?

What reasonable human spends their time doing shyt like that

no one is manually checking thousands of celebrity accounts. it's all scripts/bots checking accounts for changes in the "following" with probably a rule for prioritizing notifications based on the unfollowed follower count (e.g alert me if this unfollower has 200,000+ followers)

Yea I mean celebs are public figures so their pages are open. You can go and see who they’re following etc. Tbh I think it’s bots that do that though. Like someone could write a script that more or less can alert them if a profile unfollows another etc. I highly doubt someone is sitting all day looking at a celeb’s page. That would be crazy. But I’m just speaking hypothetically though idk
