In case you missed it, Drake & Zane Lowe were originally supposed to kick off Thursday night’s
#VIEWS festivities by sitting down for a “major” interview on OVO Sound Radio Ep. 20 at 10:45 PM EST, where Drizzy would premiere his new album for the first live on air, before making it live on iTunes following the show at midnight. Unfortunately, that plan wasn’t executed too well, and the show was almost a half-hour late to start, causing fans to grow impatiently restless. So during which time, Apple decided to turn the tables around and roll out the album first on iTunes instead, resulting with most fans jumping right over to the album stream and leaving the Zane Lowe interview.
However, once Drake & Zane Lowe did start the interview, it was well worth the wait. Chopping it up for over an hour, the 6 God & Zane talked about the creative process of
VIEWS, why he left Kanye & Jay off the album, production, making a cohesive body of work, inspiration for the album, and a shyt ton more. He even talked about his relationship with Kanye West, and spilled the
beans that the two were supposed to do a project together.
“We live up the street from each other. I’ll pull up at his house and see what he’s doing. We’ll just sit and collaborate, that’s what music is all about. ‘Ye is one of my favorite people. Period. In the world man. I love ‘Ye. I grew up with him [Kanye] as a role model, he is part of the reason I am here right now.”

In addition, Drake also talked about having plenty more music coming out this Summer,

Nicki Minaj, which he said is non-existent at this point in time.
"I don’t really talk to Nicki. Another person I have a lot of love for ... She dealt with me how I would expect her to -- with class. I always have respect and love for her. Unfortunately, we haven’t spoke."
