MBDTF was universally revered, if you're referring to 808's/Yeezus the cause of backlash was Kanye doing shyt DIFFERENT, the backlash against Views is because its the SAME shyt.

Leads me to believe that the influence of 'others' was heavy in the TC-IYRTITL era.

He jumped on the Ramriddlz cacDancehall wave for a couple tracks on 20 track album, big deal, even then one dance sounds similar to the shyt he did with Jamie XX before.
You with me doesn't sound like a NWTS song when he first adopted Party's wave and started this lazy shout rap shyt? edit: just noticed Party at the end of song, definitely his track, not surprising.

Been through this about 4 times since it dropped and I have to agree it's kind of average at best. I still listen to Take Care and most of the songs off NWTS and IYRTITL...can't say the same for this.Keep The Family Close -

U With Me? - Ehh it's losing it's playability with me the more I listen and the ending just makes me want to hear the original PND version. It's clear he wrote that. They even left him in it.
Feel No Ways - fukks with this one. Jordan from Majid Jordan killed that on the production.
Hype - Indifferent. More "I'm the greatest/they out to get me" shyt.
Weston Road Flows -
Favorite track.Redemption - The same moody Drake/40 sound. I gotta say it's kind of getting boring to me.
With You - Decent enough.
Faithful - The added dvsn ending helps this track a lot. Really fukk with that part.
Still Here - Hard production. Same content as the Hype song though. Ehh.
Controlla - Liked it from jump.
One Dance - Sounds too much like that Ramriddlz track.
Grammys - fukks with Future's part. Drake sounds cool but the lyrics aren't catching me. Honestly some of the verses from WATTBA he should've left for this album.

So 6/20 will get playback from me and a few others I only fukk with a little bit. Ehh average to me like I said. I gotta be honest, the whole writing shyt kinda took the excitement off his lyrics for me. The content is getting kind of stale and he has to drop the "they out to get me" angle. It's getting redundant. I think "Views" maybe should've been the intro too and he should've put 30 For 30 on this as the outro. Shave off a few of the songs too.
