Why you and others in here acting like an album can't be critiqued for being too long?
Drake was talking about this album being like a movie and guess what....movies can be too long!
There's too much bullshyt on this LP that's skip worthy.. The songs are long as fukk and the transitions aren't worth the time...
not the album I was hoping for but its still solid after a few listens. Keep the Family Close, and Fire & Desire are songs I have no time for. Pimp C was completely unnecessary on Faithful, Grammys is a throwaway but shyt like that is hot to the current generation so whatever, I'll take it in every now and again. Still Here, throwaway - the rest of the tunes range from good to really good, nothing great.

Yo listening to cats on this board had me thinking this album was going to sound terrible. Im just a casual listener and I thoroughly enjoyed this album. This is his best effort since take care in my opinion. He gave us some soul and emotion. I might be in.the minority but Im not a fan of all that yelling he was doing last year on tracks. Nothing was the same was good but not as focused as this effort . Alot of my guys in the hood are feeling this also. What did you nikkas expect from a drake lp ? Some ghostface styled abstract word play ? I.think he delivered a nice mainstream album for the masses but the issue in todays culture is everybody is a fukking expert and critic. Nobody is truly a fan anymore. Nikkas on here dissecting the drum patterns and shyt. Thats what happens when you let cacs invade the culture. They lack rhythm so they bring up lyrics and world play. Thats a whole different subject though i give the album 3.75-4 out of 5 stars

i dont think everyone has an agenda. as someone who's heard every drake release, he steadily improved. its kinda hard for rap fans on a rap forum to not point out that hes noticeably not as good here compared to older material. i like a a handful of songs here but overall w/ the standard he's set for himself, im honestly surprised he put this out.
It's a clear regression from IYRTITL, I don't even know how that can be argued.
