Keeping my overhead low, and my understand high
Seriously, how does this work? Who really has the time to repeatedly listen to an album to make themselves like it? Makes no sense to me. I don't think album is good at all, but I go back and listen to One Dance and Views becuz those are the two songs on the album I think are worth a damn. I tried to go back and listen to the album again and didn't make it pass 9.

To me, having to go back and listen to an album over and over again, simply means you're tryna force yourself to like it.

Same for me.

I fukk with One Dance and Hotline Bling as they are pleasant songs.

I struggle mightily to make it pass the intro. The album just isn't good as a rap album or an R&B album or a pop album.

There's no reason to press play and sit back unfortunately.

How exactly does listening to something more than once = forcing yourself to like it. :dame: Ya'll are forever reaching. :comeon: Or perhaps, not reaching, but rather projecting since that's the kind of shyt many here do when the latest Kendrick noise drops, forcing yourself to like shyt you know you don't really fukk with low key.

Almost every song on this album has been a favorite of mine at some one point. Some days I can't get enough of Feel No Ways, then Redemption hits for a bit, Fire and Desire gets to me, then I get hyped listening to Hype or 9 and sometimes Keep The Family Close is the only thing I'm in the mood for.

Views gets better with each listen. That's just a simple fact. You pick up different things (especially one the production side) and connect with different songs during each spin.

But look, I get it. If your primary interest is rap/hip or you're looking for turn up music, this album probably isn't for you and wasn't really made for you in mind. And for the record, I actually think Views is one of the weaker songs on the record but please, do you.

Also hilarious that many here are now claiming that Hotline Bling and One Dance are the stand outs (after they topped the charts) when they trashed both songs when they initially dropped.

:heh: hexcac aka @hexagram23 is still in this thread i see, why do posters enter threads of artists they dont like continuously

I'll help you understand that, if you help me understand why a grown man such as yourself would stan the same artist as an 11 year old white girl:

Or why you'd throw around the term CAC while stanning a half white Jew from the suburbs of Canada. I think that would probably offend the guy you're dikk riding. :manny:

Maybe we can help each other understand these truly puzzling things.:jbhmm:

There are post in this thread with Africans saying they had to listen to the album 10 and 15 times and it's finally starting to "grow" on them. That's fukkin' stupid and at the point they are making themselves like it. If you liked the album from jump then cool. But people saying that the album is growing on them are stupid.

I didn't pick up shyt. :yeshrug: Production stood out but that's about it.

Jungle, 305, Marvin's Room are some of my favorite Drake tracks and he was singing his ass off on those.

You don't understand, son.

You have to be at your 34th listen, be in a social setting, it must be roughly around 25 degree and partly cloudly outside to really enjoy this album.

It's very obvious at least the rap songs, PND did his thing on there too.

Although I'm glad the truth came out, it kinda sucks that QM isn't in the mix anymore because the Drake stuff I actually liked was mainly from Quentin.

Listening to Views, the hooks were boring and not that catchy, there aren't really any good rap songs.. A lot of good wasted production on this album. The singing is monotone. Even the songs I liked initially are boring now (Weston road flows, Grammys)....

But hey, my side chick really likes the album so I can say I know someone in real life who enjoys it :ld:
