My first thoughts so far is that Drake fell short once again of making a classic. I only like maybe 6 songs off the entire thing.

I'm not doubting it won't do well commercially, but this was supposed to be his masterpiece. His moment to shift the culture and deliver a great body of work,
His Blueprint so to speak and................ this just isn't it :yeshrug:..

Before the drake fanclub come and start shytting on me ...I gave it a fair listen. I tried. I just came to terms that I'll never be a Drake fan no matter what he puts out. His lyrics (and the lyrics he borrows as well) just doesn't draw me in. I also feel on this album he's regressing. The energy he once had back in '08-'11 isn't there anymore. He sounds more lethargic than ever
His stories are just so :russell:......I feel he's been rapping about the same stuff for years. Drake lives this great, fun, extravagant lifestyle but when he raps about it, it just doesn't excite me. When Jay raps about those topics, you feel the energy, he pulls you in, you walk away feeling inspired with a new sense of drive & determination to hustle & get that paper.

Drake's music has the opposite effect. It gives you an empty feeling.

And thats pretty much it....I could had just said I hated it and moved on, but I wanted to give a detailed opinion.

That's how I described it, The Blueprint gave Jay the legs for his future rap and outside of rap career, as well as allowing him to make a realclaim towards being the GOAT.
Drake's like a year more into his career than Jay was when he dropped The Blueprint so this needed to be really dope, but it seems like he's just going to be on a downturn.

off second listen 4.5/5, the beats are top notch and drake is spitting. Pop style sounds better with just drake

He's spittin lyrics he didn't write, flows he didn't create & melodies he had handed to him..

Don't see how anyone can review this as a hip hop album instead of a Katy Perry or Pink album
